Mobilize to Defend Marissa Alexander

LEMS Life Enrichment Bookstore
5023 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98118

A national movement is growing to win freedom for this victim of Florida's mandatory minimum sentencing laws. No one was hurt by the shot Alexander fired in fear for her life. She had a restraining order against her husband, a licensed gun, and no criminal history. She was denied a defense under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law. Organizations and leaders demanding justice for Alexander include Jacksonville NAACP, Dream Defenders, Florida New Majority, Black Women's Blueprint, Radical Women, U.S. Representative Corinne Brown, and Martin Luther King III. Please get involved! Bring your thoughts and energy on how we can mobilize Seattle to win Marissa Alexander's freedom.
